One way we support this commitment is by requiring all of our full-time teaching staff to earn their Child Development Associate (CDA) certification—a nationally recognized credential that reflects advanced training in early childhood education. After completing their first 90 days of employment, every teacher at Barrel of Monkeys begins this certification process, which we fully fund as part of our investment in both our staff and our students.

By equipping our teachers with the CDA, we ensure that they are not only passionate but also highly skilled in fostering the growth, development, and success of young learners. This extra level of training allows us to deliver the very best learning experiences and create a classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

We are also incredibly proud of our strong teacher retention rate—nearly 90% of our staff remain with us long-term. This stability allows children to build lasting relationships with their teachers, creating a consistent, nurturing environment that truly feels like family.
